There are three ways of winning prizes at Animé Los Angeles: Prize Tickets, Event Ticket Awards, or an event you’re participating in hands out their own prizes. Read on to learn how our system works:

1. PRIZE POINT TICKETS

Most of our prizes are awarded via Prize Point Tickets – little tickets that say Animé Los Angeles and have a special hologram and a denomination on them (for example, “5 points”). Prize Point Tickets may be awarded at an event or in another situation by an official member of the Animé Los Angeles staff. Bring your tickets to the Prize Team Redemption room, located in the Long Beach Convention Center – 2nd floor, to redeem them for the prize(s) of your choice. There are 5 point prizes, 10 point prizes and so forth; feel free to collect your tickets and add them up for bigger prizes.

2. BADGE AWARDS

At participating events, you may be lucky enough to win a badge for next year’s Anime Los Angeles as a prize.   You will need to fill out a form with your name, address and so forth as a record of your award.  A representative of the Prize Emporium staff will be on hand when the badge is awarded to help, and will present you with a signed receipt so that you have proof that you’ve won a Badge Award.  Please do not leave without completing your form, as this is the first step in receiving your award.  Later in the year you will receive an email with instruction as to how to register, with your award, online.  Badge Awards that have not had their form filled out, and registered online at the appropriate time will be considered null and void, so please be certain to follow all instructions!  If you have any questions, feel free to drop by the Prize Emporium and speak with a member of our staff.

***PLEASE NOTE*** Badge Awards won via the Animé Los Angeles Masquerade are managed and distributed by the masquerade staff. If you have received a badge award via the Animé Los Angeles Masquerade, please direct all questions & concerns to a member of the masquerade staff or email masquerade@animelosangeles.org***

3. ADDITIONAL PRIZES

A few events may have event specific prizes that they hand out personally.  These prizes are separate from, and should not be confused with, Anime Los Angeles Prize Tickets or Prize Emporium presented Badge Awards, although Tickets and Awards could also be presented in addition to that event’s own prizes.  

To sum it up:  Anime Los Angeles Prize Tickets can be redeemed at ALA’s Prize Emporium redemption center, Non-Masquerade Badge Awards must be filled in with a Prize Emporium staff member in order to be officially awarded, and then used to register your award, and some events and programming give out their own prizes.
