Convention Ice Breakers
Hosts will take up the first part of the event welcoming people to the ice breaker (and the con) and detailing ribbons and major events at the convention before opening up to a public Q&A. From there, things will break down into smaller groups with ice breaker topics (favorite anime character, first cosplay, etc.), and hosts will become available to answer individual questions to help people acclimate. Participants will receive an Ice Breaker ribbon.

ALA Scavenger Hunt
Teams of 3 or 4 will be given a list of items that they must go out into the con to find and take a picture with. Players must have a team member in every picture with each item. Pictures from before the start of the scavenger hunt will not count. If no single team can find all items within the time frame, the team with the most items that comes back first will be crowned the winner and each member will be given a prize.

Anime Debate
Staff decides on debate topics prior to event. Upon arriving, audience members assemble their own teams of 4 and volunteer to participate in the game. Each team is given a topic, and must choose which side to defend. At first, each team gets 2 minutes to present their case, and an additional 2 minutes to respond to the opposition. The audience then votes for the side they want to win. The winners will remain in the game, pitted against new challengers in the same fashion until there is an ultimate winner. We will get through roughly 3-4 topics, depending on length and audience interest. All participants gain a prize, with a “grand prize” for the final winner.

18+ Events
Come join a series of evening programming designed for an older audience! Please make sure to acquire an 18+ wristband from attendee services before attending any 18+ programming!
Anime Singled Out
A volunteer from the audience will be named the “object of desire”, and given a “golden ticket”, which they may use once during the game to let one participant have a second chance. They will be sat facing the audience, so they can’t see the participants behind them. From there, additional volunteers from the audience may join as participants, lining up behind the “object of desire”. Binary questions will be asked by the host, which will split the room into two halves, and then the answer will be given by the “object of desire”. Those on the wrong half will sit down. This continues until there are three to four participants remaining.
At the second phase of the game (3-4 participants), three open ended questions will be asked, which each participant has a chance to answer. The winner will be selected by applause. The winner is placed back to back with the “object of desire”, and on the count of three, both are allowed to see each other.
Please fill out the form below before the start time of our event if you would like to be our “Object of desire” in the hot seat!

Anime Trivia
Volunteers are split up into teams of 5 and may choose team names. At the start of a round, one member from each team steps up to the front with the host, who asks a question establishing a category (Magical girl, Mecha, Shounen, etc). Whoever answers the question correctly wins the category for their team. The host then goes to ask all members of the team further questions in that category, for a maximum of 5 points. This goes on for 3-5 rounds (gauging audience interest), at which point the team with the most points is the winner. All participants receive prizes.
If you would like to submit your own trivia questions, please feel free to do so via the link below. Make them as hard as you want!

Anime Dating Game
Staff will preselect several participants to hide behind the screen for a chance to win a “date” (no obligation). The participants will write out 5-10 open ended questions and give them to the host.
When the game begins, three members are selected from the audience as suitors, who sit in front of the screen. From there, the participant behind the screen reads off their questions, and each suitor is given a chance to respond. Once a suitable number of questions are answered, the participant behind the screen chooses a winner, and the two are introduced and given prizes.
